Blogger's Guide to Sydney AU

It’s almost impossible not to have “a visit to Sydney, Australia” on your bucket list, it just seems to have everything! From it’s vast culture to amazing sites to see, Sydney seems like a blogger’s dream destination. Since this city is such a hotspot, we jumped on the opportunity to have one of our favorite bloggers, Jaclyn Carlson of Little Paper Trees to give us a tour of her incredible city!

At a time when most bloggers are breaking out chunky knit cardigans and sipping on pumpkin spiced lattes in the lead up to Fall, those of us blogging from Sydney, Australia are loving the onset of warm weather and the long awaited lazy, hazy days of summer. Jealous? Don’t be – one of the best parts about blogging is the ability to be inspired by and connect with bloggers from around the world and live vicariously through their images and words. Perhaps that’s why I’m so excited to share with you my own guide to blogging in Sydney.

Since moving here from Boston 5 years ago, I’ve fallen head over heels for this stunning city. From bush land to beaches, Sydney has it all and for me, it’s the ultimate destination for constant blogging inspiration. Next time you find yourself “Down Under” and need a bit of guidance here’s a few of my favorite haunts…

Royal Botanical Gardens – This vast public garden boasts scenic walking paths not to mention stunning views of the Opera House. It’s the perfect place to pack a picnic, gather with friends and take in some of the city’s most amazing views.

Manly to Spit Walk – When I need a bit of a blogging break, I find that exercise helps to clear my head. This coastal walk is just the place to go and offers solitude and some of the most amazing scenery and Harbor views you can imagine. Every picture looks like a postcard, I swear.

Corridor – One of my local watering holes, this tiny tapas bar is the perfect place to grab a glass of wine, hit the rooftop and gossip with girlfriends

The Grounds – Looking for good coffee, a place to blog and sneak in some great people watching? This trendy café is all the rage and worth all the hype.

The Society Inc – I happen to have a bit of a girl crush on super stylist, author and world traveller, Sibella Court. She’s just that cool so I love to pop into her eclectic shop in Paddington to check out the latest bits and bobs from her overseas adventures.

The Boathouse, Palm Beach – Well worth the drive, this hidden gem is located on the tip of Sydney’s Northern Beaches and is the ultimate place for breakfast before a day at the beach. Just be warned, you might never want to leave.

Surry Hills Market – I love a bit of vintage shopping and find that my camera goes into overdrive whenever I hit the always trendy Surry Hills Markets. Even if I can’t afford some of the beautiful retro furniture, at least I can blog about it.

The School –  Considered the ultimate craft headquarters, The School offers a variety of classes for all creative types. Trust me, you’ll love it.

ABCD Meet-Up – This casual and fun meet-up is the best place to say hello and introduce yourself to local bloggers, artists and designers.
